The defending 1A State Champion Ray softball team improved to 4 – 0 following a 14 – 0 shutout victory against 2A San Manuel last Friday.
The Lady Cats took advantage of their six hits and five walks to score 14 runs.
Junior Tara Lorona led the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with a pair of RBI. Janae Ruiz and Daniella Hinojos also drove in two runs apiece.
Hinojos, the Lady Cats’ ace, pitched a two-hit complete-game shutout to earn her fourth win of the year in as many starts.
