Deadline for home rule voter pamphlet statements approaching

HAYDEN, Ariz. – On October 15, 2012, the Town Council voted to refer an extension of the Alternative Expenditure Limitation – Home Rule Option to a vote on the March 12, 2013 ballot.

Statements supporting or opposing the ballot measure may be submitted for publication in the election voter information pamphlet. Statements for the voter pamphlet cannot exceed 300 words in length and must contain the original notarized signature of each person sponsoring it.

The address and phone number for each signer must be on the statement, but will not be printed in the publicity pamphlet. If the statement is sponsored by an organization, it must be signed by two executive officers of the organization or, if sponsored by a political committee, it must be signed by the committee’s chairman or treasurer.

TheTown Clerkencourages submitters to submit the text of their statement electronically in addition to the above.

A payment of $80, to offset a portion of the printing costs must accompany the submission of each statement. The textual content of the arguments will be printed exactly as submitted, as the Town is not authorized to correct spelling or grammatical errors.

Statements must be submitted by 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the Town of HaydenTown Clerk’s Office, 520 N. Velasco Ave., Hayden, AZ, 885135.

Fecha tope de los argumentos para inclusión en el folleto para los votantes de la opción de autonomía

 

HAYDEN, Ariz. – El 15 de Octubre de 2012 el Concejo Municipal votó a favor de poner al voto de la gente una extensión de la Limitación de Gastos Alternativa – Opción de Autonomía en la boleta del 12 de marzo de 2013. Los argumentos (declaraciones) a favor o en contra de la medida la boleta se pueden someter para publicación en el folleto de información para los votantes de la elección.

Los argumentos del folleto para los votantes no pueden exceder 300 palabras y tienen que contener la firma original certificada por un notario de cada persona patrocinándolo. La dirección y número de teléfono de cada firmante tienen que aparecer en el argumento, y este no se imprimirá en el folleo de publicidad. Si el argumento es patrocinado por una organización, tiene que ser firmado por dos oficiales ejecutivos de la organización o, si es patrocinado por un comité político, tiene que ser firmado por el presidente o tesorero del comité. La Secretaria Municipal les alienta a las personas sometiendo argumentos que sometan el texto de su argumento electrónicamente además de lo arriba mencionado.

Un pago de $80.00 para compensar una parte de los costos de imprimir tiene que acompañar la sumisión de cada argumento. El contenido textual de los argumentos se imprimirá exactamente como se sometieron, siendo que el Pueblo no tiene la autoridad de corregir errores de ortografía o gramática.

Los argumentos se tienen que someter en o antes de las 4:30 p.m., del miércoles 19 de diciembre, en la Oficina de la Secretaria Municipal del Pueblo de Hayden, 520 N. Velasco Ave., Hayden, AZ, 85135.
