David Anthony Otero, 47, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2014 in Phoenix with family at his side.
David was born in Phoenix and raised in Superior. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Socorro Otero and Mary Helen Taylor and sister Elaine.
He is survived by his children, David, Veronica, Iroquois, and Roman; his siblings, Sylvia, Cecilia, George, Rosanna and Lisa; and his niece and best friend Christine.
His main accomplishment was mentoring and counseling young gang members. His friends and family will miss his sweet thoughtful nature and love of laughter.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Superior. A celebration of life will be held at Los Hermanos following the services.
