Crime skyrockets in Oracle

It appears that all of the criminals in Batman’s hypothetical megalopolis of Gotham City, must have come to Oracle, Az. when they got run out of town by the masked crusader,  based on last week’s Sheriff’s Report.  The crime rate for our little town has mega-jumped by over  400% IN ONE WEEK!    The breakdown is as follows;

Thefts/Burglaries:  4

Assaults:   2  (care to guess if drugs/alcohol abuse was related to these offenses???).

Drug Related Offenses:   4   (Actually, if the Thefts and Burglaries segment were to be delved into, the findings would most likely be drug related also).

Criminal Damage:   2  (possible drug/alcohol involvement also).

Misc.:  2   (drugs/alcohol involved???)

Is anybody picking up a common denominator here???

Note:  It is well understood that criminal activity like vandalism, alcohol/public intoxication, etc. would be on the rise due to school letting out.  However,  the amount and seriousness of the crimes committed are beyond the pale.   Thus,   the neighborhood watch will be intensifying their efforts to monitor,  collect information and report those who choose to violate society’s laws.   Through our new and more intense Community Policing Program,  Operation Squeeze Play will go into effect in the next few wks.

For those concerned residents of Oracle, who would like to assist,  please contact Ron Thompson at 520-975-3658 or at rockdog48@hotmail.com. Also,  you can go to our Facebook site at Oracle Neighborhood Watch for updates.

The ONW was responsible for assisting the S.O. in two of the reported arrests.  More to come.
