Globe Basketball Players Honored on Senior Night
The Tigers boys’ and girls’ basketball teams each honored three seniors before the girls’ varsity game versus Coolidge on Wednesday night.
Timecah Cosen, Yvonne Lonnie, and Keanna Moses were the three senior Lady Tigers playing their final game in front of the home fans at Tiger Gymnasium.
The Lady Tigers, who needed to a win to keep alive any hope for a berth in next week’s sectional tournament, were eliminated after a 63 – 32 loss to a Lady Bears’ team fighting for the regular-season section title.
Moses finished with two points, two rebounds, and three assists in the loss. Cosen and Lonnie were held scoreless in the game.
The boys’ team, which entered the game against the Bears still with a chance to claim the regular season title, honored seniors Robert Holmes, Chris Gonzales, and Trevor Imhoff on Wednesday night.
