Treasures Galore is at the San Manuel crafters mall next door to the Family Dollar Store. Drop by Saturday, March 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Copper Thimbles Quilt Guild is sponsoring this sale which will include everything under the sun except clothes and shoes. There are bed boards, mattresses, small appliances, sewing and quilting supplies, small organ, and a piano that is in Kearny and can be picked up there and is free. There will also be a section of new handmade quilts and other homemade items.

Members available to help you with your purchases come from Kearny to Oro Valley and all the towns in between. The Quilt Guild was started in Kearny in 1997 with four members and has expanded to 37 members. The members are avid quilters. Besides their own quilts they make quilts for the Dialysis Center in Mammoth, Family First, and the VA hospital. New projects this year are wheel chair bags. They will also join the national Million Pillowcase projects for youth and adults

The Copper Thimbles meet the first and third Wednesday and do their charity work on the fifth Wednesday. They alternate their meetings between Church of the Good Shepherd in Kearny and First Baptist in San Manuel.

Proceeds from this sale will go toward their charity projects. Copper Thimbles is a member of the Arizona Quilters Guild.

You never know what you will find at a sale held by such a diverse group of women.
