Copper Corridor track athletes compete at State Track Championships

The San Manuel Women’s Track Team, which went undefeated during the season, finished 23rd in the final team rankings at last weekend’s State Track Championships.

The Miners had four track team members place five different events: Andrea Castaneda (8th – 3200m), Analisa Robles (8th – Discus), Theresa Sweeney (17th – Discus and 16th – Shot Put), and Michael Sanchez (20th – Discus).

The Ray Bearcats were also represented at the track championships. Three track team members placed in four different events: Kenneth Palmer (18th – 3200m), Demetri Breeden (16th – Long Jump and 15th – Triple Jump), and Nick Lara (17th – Discus).
