Hayden, AZ – The contestants of the Copper Basin Idol 2013 will be taking the stage at the Hayden High Auditorium on Friday, May 10, beginning at 6 pm in a production under the direction of Martina Burnam. For almost a decade, the Copper Basin Idol has been an annual event, but, this is the last one planned. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy the spectacle.

Martina Burnham, Chairperson for the Copper Basin Idol, said it has been a pleasure being the chairperson since its inception. “I truly appreciate your continued support for our wonderful singing competition show,” she said. “On a sad note, this will be the last Copper Basin Idol competition show. We will follow it next year with a reunion show.”

This year’s program will begin with the National Anthem sung by Gabrielle Montano. Following, all the contestants will join in, singing a rendition of Footloose.

Junior contestants are Izzy Kimmel, singing “The Climb” by Miley Cyrus, and Myranda Figueroa, performing “Set Fire to the Rain” by Adele.

Idol contestants are Maria Avenetti singing “The Boys” by Girls Generation; Laryssa Torrez singing “Jesus Take the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood; Josette Kimmel singing “Done” by The Band Perry; and Malia Linda Santos performing “Slow it Down” by the Lumineers.

Guest performers, in no particular order, will be Danny Fessenden, Johnny Silva, Luciano Romero, Gabrielle Montano – 2011 Junior Idol, Ariella Borquiez- 2007 Idol, Alexa Armenta- 2011 Idol, Martina Borquiez – 2009 Idol, Breanna Hathaway – 2009 Idol, Gmann and Kimo.
