Heavy equipment clings to the mountainside in the Devil’s Canyon between Superior and Miami, AZ.
For months now residents of Superior and the Copper Corridor have been faced with delays and road closures on US 60. There has been some major earth moving going on in the Devil’s Canyon area that has required twice weekly blasting of the area. The project will allow for accelerating lanes to be built through the canyon, which will allow for faster moving traffic to pass if needed. Many drivers have shared stories of seeing this heavy equipment teetering close to the edge and small rocks tumbling down, thankfully the project is moving along safely and efficiently.
