A meeting of the Town of Superior Community Working Group (CWG) is scheduled for Wednesday, July 8. Marianne Thomas, Travel Management Coordinator of the Tonto National Forest, will speak with the group about the Forest’s current motorized access planning and road designation efforts in the Superior and Queen Valley region.

The CWG – made up of Town of Superior, Queen Valley, and area residents and stakeholders – meets regularly to consider facts, policy, and discuss possible benefits, consequences and issues surrounding the proposed Resolution Copper Project. Topics include environmental impact, health, safety, natural resource issues, engineering, water quantity and quality, geology, economics, air quality, community investments and other related subjects of community concern.

CWG meetings are regularly held at the Superior Chamber of Commerce offices at 165 W. Main St. in Superior beginning at 6 p.m. CWG meetings are open to the public and time is reserved on the agenda for public comment and questions.

Past CWG agendas, meeting summaries and other information are available for public review at the Superior Chamber of Commerce offices and also at the Superior Public Library at 99 North Kellner Avenue, as well as online at http://bit.ly/1p2iokZ.
