The next meeting of the Town of Superior Community Working Group (CWG) is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016 at 6:00pm in the Superior Chamber of Commerce meeting room. This meeting date is changed from the normal schedule of the second Wednesday of the month. The group will review and discuss comments they may want to submit during the public scoping process for the Resolution Copper Project Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) being conducted by the U.S. Forest Service.

The CWG is made up of Town of Superior, Queen Valley, and area residents and stakeholders. The group meets to talk about the social and environmental issues, science, and policy, as well as the benefits and consequences of the proposed Resolution Copper Project. Topics include environmental impacts, health, safety, natural resource issues, engineering, water quantity and quality, geology, economics, air quality, community investments, recreational changes and other related subjects of community concern.

CWG meetings are held at the Superior Chamber of Commerce at 165 West Main in Superior from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, usually on the second Wednesday of each month. The public is invited and time is reserved on the agenda for public comments, questions, and discussion.

Past CWG agendas, meeting summaries, and other information are available for public review at the Superior Chamber of Commerce offices and also at the Superior Public Library at 99 North Kellner Avenue, as well as online at http://SuperiorAZCWG.org/
