A special meeting of the Town of Superior Community Working Group (CWG) is scheduled for the afternoon of Wednesday October 8, when group members will visit the San Carlos Apache Culture Center in Peridot, AZ. The CWG – made up of Town of Superior, Queen Valley, and area residents and stakeholders – meets regularly to examine the technical facts and discuss social and economic issues surrounding the proposed Resolution Copper Mining Project. The purpose of this visit is to learn more about Apache cultural heritage and the history of the San Carlos community.
Topics typically include environmental health and safety, natural resource issues, engineering, water quantity and quality, geology, economics, air quality, community investments and other relevant subjects of community concern.
Past CWG meeting agendas, summaries and information are available for public review at the Superior Chamber of Commerce offices and at the Superior Public Library at 99 North Kellner Avenue, and online at http://resolutioncopper.com/sustainable-development/community/
