Aravaipa, Ariz. – From monsoons in the American Southwest to Nor’easter snow storms on the East Coast, weather is one of life’s fascinating subjects.
This summer, children exiting grades two through six will now have a chance to study the nuances of our atmosphere through Central Arizona College’s College for Kids program. This year’s theme is Wild, Wild Weather.
The program will be held Monday through Thursday, July 8-18 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tuition is $210 per child and includes supplies, snacks, lunches, a T-shirt and a group photograph. Transportation will be available from most areas as well.
Space is limited as only 40 participants will be accepted. Acceptance into the program is on a first-come, first-served basis and those accepted will be notified by mail. To guarantee placement, registration forms and tuition are due by Monday, June 24.
Payment plans are available; however, a minimum deposit of $50 is due by June 24 to ensure a child’s spot in the program. Upon arranging a payment plan, any unpaid portion of the remaining tuition must be received no later than Monday, July 1. Cancellation refunds only will be available through that date.
