Coed slow pitch softball tournament coming to San Manuel

San Manuel – For the love of the game, to challenge your skills and to see how you measure up against the competition, come out and play in the 2013 San Manuel Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament on Sat., Jun. 15.

The tournament will take place at San Manuel Jr. High Softball/Baseball Fields beginning at 8 a.m. The format is double elimination with seven-inning games or a one-hour, fifteen-minute time limit.

Batters will start with a 1-1 pitch count for each at bat and there will be a 10-run rule after the 4th inning.

There must be at least 10 players per team and 11 players maximum. No more than 5 players per team can be male and males may only participate on one team. Females may play on multiple teams but each team must pay the full registration fee to participate in the tournament.

The lineup must rotate genders. If a male is walked, the female player behind him has the choice to walk. Only the first home run in the game hit by a male is allowed, as every other male home run will be an out. Females can hit unlimited home runs.

The first place team will receive t-shirts. To register contact Ryan Sichting at 765-318-2662 by 6 p.m. on Fri, Jun. 14 so that tournament brackets can be drawn that evening. The cost for registration is $120 per team plus two softballs. Teams must pay before the first game.
