The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints completed a new Family History Center that will serve members and the public in the Tri-Community and surrounding communities.

According to Sharon Evans, Family History director, the new center will be a tremendous asset to members and the public who have a desire to research, seek out, and learn more about their ancestors. Hands-on experience will be provided to those who attend.

The open house is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1001 South McNab Parkway, San Manuel, Ariz., 85631.

Members of the church believe that the family is the primary eternal unit on earth. With that in mind, it is important to members to know who their ancestors are. People gain great strength from knowing who their ancestors are, how they lived, what trials they faced, etc. The Family History Center will allow the public to search out their ancestors as well.
