A large crowd gathered to wish Fr. Robert a fond farewell. He has been appointed as Pastor to two Parishes in Safford.

The Copper Basin Catholic Communities are seeing changes this month as the Diocese of Tucson announced new Parish appointments.

Fr. Alexander Tigga, who was serving as parochial vicar at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Tucson was appointed as administrator at Infant Jesus of Prague Parish in Kearny. He replaces Fr. Thomas Dekaa who has relocated to Richmond, Virginia.

Fr. Robert Rodriguez will be leaving St. Joseph’s in Hayden to serve as the Pastor at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Safford and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Solomon. Coming to Hayden will be Fr. Matthew Thayil who was serving at Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Tucson.
