Chaille Ann McGrew

Chaille Ann McGrew, born July 19, 1940, passed away peacefully in her home on Feb. 13, 2018.

Chaille loved the San Manuel community where she happily lived for the past 48 years. She taught in the Mammoth-San Manuel School District and retired in 2002, making many life-long friends. As a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she faithfully served her ward, family and friends.

She was passionate about painting and sewing and used her many talents to create projects for humanitarian aid. An avid reader, she dedicated many hours of service to the San Manuel Public Library where she wanted to share her love of books with others.

Her grandchildren were the epicenter of her life, and she adored sharing their pictures and stories with everyone. Her grandchildren all agree that she was the best grandmother ever!

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, and her three children, Ken, Amy (David) and Julie (Paul); and her younger brother, Edgar Crews (Carolyn). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Blaine, Trevor, Megan, Paige, Carter, Carrie and Mary Jane. She is preceded in death by her son, Michael.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (101 S. Giffen Avenue, San Manuel). We welcome all to celebrate her life with us.

Interment will follow Binghampton Cemetery, Tucson, AZ.
