Cenpatico awards more than $25,000 to Copper Corridor organizations

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Cenpatico of Arizona, the Regional Behavioral Health Authority for Pinal County, is awarding $25,615 in Community Reinvestment Grants to three Copper Area organizations.

The grant awards are part of $322,658 that Cenpatico is giving throughout Arizona to help the communities it serves.

“Cenpatico views itself as a partner with the communities we serve and the awards are part of our overall plan to improve lives in the places we operate,” said Terry Stevens, chief executive officer of Cenpatico of Arizona. “Giving back to the community is something we look forward to at Cenpatico.”

The following organizations will be receiving Community Reinvestment Grants from Cenpatico including the Oracle Community Center ($1,800 for community center improvements), El Centro Youth Center for Excellence in San Manuel ($7,735 for new musical equipment) and Town of Superior ($16,080 to the Superior Substance Abuse Coalition for the Win to Swim and Cinco de Mayo events).

In addition, Cenpatico is awarding $7,500 to the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The money will be used to buy books for the Reach Out and Read Arizona program in Gila and Pinal counties to promote healthy social and emotional development in young children.

Cenpatico of Arizona is the Regional Behavioral Health Authority for Cochise, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Pinal, Santa Cruz and Yuma counties.
