Candy Hollenbeck

Candy Hollenbeck has embarked on a journey that very few people are able to even start.  She is currently undergoing tests to see if she is a match to donate a kidney to Superiorite Melissa Brito.  Melissa currently lives in Cleveland, Ohio and is in need of a new kidney.  Candy has received preliminary approval from her local physicians to undergo the operation, however, they need to raise funds to cover Candy’s travel expenses to run the tests to see if she is a match with Melissa’s physicians in Ohio.

Candy explained that she wanted to do this for Melissa to help her continue to live a full life.  “She has so much to give,” explained Candy.  Even if Candy is not a direct match for Melissa, Candy is willing to donate her kidney to someone else on the organ donor list so that way Melissa can have priority to receive a kidney from another match.

Candy needs to raise $6,000 to cover the travel and medical expenses of this donation.

Funds are being accepted at Save Money Market and through a Go Fund Me Account – you can donate online at http://bit.ly/28grdBE . There are also several fundraisers being planned to help accommodate the travel costs for Candy to travel to Ohio.  Any funds left over that are raised with be given to Melissa to help her with her medical expenses and recovery.
