JFK Elementary student Graciela Medina earned the first place spot in the annual school spelling bee. Claudia Delgado earned second place. This year JFK had 42 students in fourth through sixth grades participate. The top 10 students in the bee will advance to the district spelling bee where they will compete with Jr. High students to determine who will qualify for the Pinal County spelling bee.

The top 10 spellers at JFK are: Graciela Medina, Claudia Delgado, Cianna Barreras, Danika Bryant, Illiana Ramirez, Elias Gerola, Jalen Oatis, Aubreanna Nunez, Kiana Oatis, and Kylee Watko. The district spelling bee will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, at the JFK Auditorium at 1:30 p.m.
