Can one person make a difference? Big YES!

One person can make the Quality of Life better for all.

Our home is surrounded by vacant properties.  BUT we keep our yard neat, plants trimmed (best we can). When trash or cans are in the street in front of our home we pick it up. Recently, able to get safe steps(with help) for our front door. That gave us inspiration to sweep our walkways. Find and use paint we had.  In general make our home look better. You know what?  WE feel better and I am sure it makes others feel better.

I know there are many other people who do the same, we have other neighbors that care. Drive around and see these homes. Some folks are so creative its awesome! I’ve said there are no two houses exactly the same.  I hear there are a couple..Have some fun-go find them.

House numbers. Now there is a small item that we all can and should do. Do you have your house numbered? It could make all the difference in an emergency situation.

These small improvements are what gives all of us  Quality of Life.

Mammoth is OUR home, yours and mine, and WE CAN make a difference, now and for the future. It’s more than a health and safety issue – it’s  self respect, and community pride. People need to see we care, and that we are doing something to improve  our town.

WHY? People will want to move here and become tax paying, caring residents. WIN WIN Myself and others moved here, bought homes that needed some TLC. put our sweat and money into our  (previously vacant) homes. We are invested in Mammoth and call it home.

Little things do mean a LOT!

Respectfully,

/s/ Diane Theobald

Mammoth resident
