Bobby Padilla

Bobby M. Padilla, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle passed away at home in Winkelman, AZ; Tuesday, July 19, 2016.

  Bobby was born in Winkelman, AZ on April 2, 1939 to Enrique and Luz Padilla. He had three brothers and one sister. 

  He lived in Winkelman until he was 12 years old where they moved to Florence, AZ.  He graduated from Florence, AZ in May 1957 and in August 1957 he married his high school sweetheart Mary Ward.  They moved to Winkelman, AZ where they began their 59 years of marriage. 

  He worked at Foxworth-Galbreth Lumber Yard and eventually went to Kennecott and ASARCO and then retired.

  Bobby was very active in Hayden High School football, President of the Hayden High School Booster club and helped coach the 1972 Hayden High School State Football Championship Team.  He was inducted into the Florence Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.

  Bobby is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Diana (Dave) Cox of Tucson, AZ, Sandra Padilla of Phoenix, AZ, Edwina Padilla of Florence, AZ and Bobby (Patti) of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandsons, one granddaughter, and four great-grandchildren.

  Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hayden, Arizona. Visitation is at 9 a.m., Rosary at 10 a.m. and Mass at 10:30 a.m. Internment will follow at Kearny Cemetery in Kearny, Arizona.
