The quaint coffee shop residents had been asking for has been open for nearly a year!  Located at 149 Main St. in Downtown Superior is the SunFlour Market.  The market features a wide variety of high quality hot and cold coffee beverages, Italian sodas, old fashioned Coca Colas along with fresh deli sandwiches and homemade soups just like your grandmother might make.  The coffee brewed at the market is a specialty blend called the “Superior Blend”.  The coffee is actually roasted and ground by Sky Island Roasters in Oracle, Arizona.

Willa enjoys baking many of the sweets and baked goods in the shop. She does sell many other baked goods that are procured from other local bakers in addition to the baked goods that she enjoys baking.

Willa and Joe Ficarra opened the store in November 2016 and the couple has been busy every day since they opened the shop.  In addition to the many food, baked goods and drinks available, the market features a wide assortments of gifts, antiques, home decor and if you are looking for local art, several local artists and jewelry designers sell their wares from the marketplace.  One of the things they enjoy most about having a business in Superior is serving their customers and the residents of Superior.

SunFlour Market has a patio that is also available for rent for private parties or events.  Every Saturday, the market hosts a Farmers Market on the patios.  “About 3-4 vendors set up, depending on what is in season,” explained Willa.

Willa’s advice to her fellow business owners and future entrepreneurs: “Your business becomes almost like your child, it is something you have to work on everyday.  If you are going to go into business, you need to love what you will be doing,” she said.

SunFlour Market is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
