Susan King and Lu Vee

One could call Magma Avenue the “Avenue of Relaxation and Wellness” – one that very busy road is the home of Sole to Soul Awakening, Superior Skin Care, Untangled Hair and Centrix Health Resources (Reflections Hospice). But what everyone may overlook is the home of King Chiropractic, which is located inside the office suites of Pamela Peck at 18 North Magma.

When you walk into Dr. Susan King’s suite, you are instantly greeted with a sense of calm and relaxation – not the typical “White Coat” experience one may feel when visiting a doctor’s office.  You will also be greeted by her very sweet dog, Lu Vee, who is a two-year old Akita, who is practicing to become a therapy animal.  Dr. King wants people to know her as a person, a person who is passionate about helping people feel better and help them achieve their optimal health.

Chiropractic care is a natural form of healthcare that uses adjustments to the spine to improve alignments of the spine.  Most importantly these adjustments help to restore proper function to the nervous system, which can help your body to heal naturally.  The nervous system helps the entire body to function and operate.

Dr. King opened her practice in Superior after many of her patients encouraged her to come to Superior.  When she started to look for a place she found Pam Peck’s offices and felt it was a good fit, especially since could bring Lu Vee to the office with her.  Her main office is in Apache Junction and she was previously located in Kearny.  Dr. King has been practicing Chiropractic Care for over 30 years.  She earned her degree from Palmer College of Chiropractor in Davenport, Iowa.

King Chiropractic does not use the “twist and crank” method of adjustments, she uses a special table that helps people to feel more comfortable with their adjustments.  Those wishing to try her chiropractic care can visit her practice on Tuesday and Thursday.  Appointments are not necessary; she encourages patients to drop in and treatments are $40.  A first time patient will go through a brief interview on their health to determine the treatments needed.  Dr. King explains that her goal is to help feel better and maintain wellness. She is not one to push treatments on patients if they are not needing one.

“Regular chiropractic care is like getting the oil changed in your car. It helps keep everything running,” she said.
