  Billy Fairchild of Coolidge, AZ passed away at the Tucson VA Hospital on July 21, 2016 after a lengthy illness.

  He was born May 1, 1950 in Rayville, LA and grew up in San Manuel, AZ. Billy graduated from San Manuel High School in 1969 and joined the Marines where he served in Vietnam. After discharge from the Marines he returned to Arizona to work and retired from Corrections Corporation of America.

  He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Gie Gie); daughters, Stephanie, Laura, and Tenny; his mother, Laura; sister, Patricia; and brother, Mickey; along with multiple grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, G.C. Fairchild.

  Service and interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery Thursday, July 28, at 10 a.m.
