, 93, of Kearny passed away Jan. 14, 2015. Betty was born to C.E. and Viola Leadenham on June 12, 1921, in Akron, Ohio.
Her adventurous spirit and passion for teaching led her to settle in Ray, Arizona in 1946. There she met and married Edwin Jenkin. They relocated to Kearny in 1960 where Betty continued teaching kindergarten for Ray Elementary School until her retirement.
Betty was active in local organizations and church. She touched many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edwin and her sister Donna Fern. She leaves behind in loving memory her son, Mark; daughter, Sue Ann (Gary) Fountain; and granddaughter, Laurén.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date at Church of the Good Shepherd, 520-363-7283.
