The seventh-ranked Bearcats bounced back nicely from last week’s season opening loss to Pima, defeating the visiting tenth-ranked Valley Union Blue Devils in their home opener, 48 – 20.
The ‘Cats, who fell to second-ranked Pima last week, 50 – 25, are now 1 – 1 on the season. They travel to Duncan this Friday to take on a Wildkats team coming off back-to-back wins against Joseph City and Arete Prep. The Wildkats are 2 – 1 on the season.
The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
