Badilla completes basic training

U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Ricardo G. Badilla graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Badilla is the son of Lynda A. Ali of Tucson and brother of Nitzelle A. Coenen of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; grandson of Irene Urquijo of San Manuel, Jesse Urquijo of San Manuel, and nephew of Crisselle and Kevin Barton of Tucson, and Delcia Brown of Phoenix.

He is a 2012 graduate of Ironwood Ridge High School, Tucson.
