Author Thomas Cobb

  Author Thomas Cobb spoke at the Acadia Ranch Museum on Sunday, Oct. 8.  Cobb spoke about the subject of his book, With Blood in Their Eyes, a fictionalized but historically accurate account of the Power brothers’ shootout which occurred in the Galiuro Mountains in 1918. He read some excerpts from his book and answered questions from the audience.

  With Blood in Their Eyes won the Western Writers of America Spur award for best long novel and Southwest Book of the Year – Pima County Library Association.

  Thomas Cobb is the author of several books including the novel, Crazy Heart which was made into the Academy Award winning 2009 movie Crazy Heart, starring Jeff Bridges. His other books include Darkness the Color of Snow, Shavetail and Acts of Contrition. He is working on a biography of Doc Holliday.

  Around 25 people attended the interesting talk and discussion sponsored by the Oracle Historical Society.
