Audrey Alyne Cole

  Audrey Alyne Cole, 93, passed away Aug. 29, 2016 at her home in Superior surrounded by her loving family.

  Audrey was born in Blount County, AL on Feb. 8, 1923, weighing in at  2 pounds, 12 ounces. She was the daughter of Virgil and Etta Mae Mantooth.

  Audrey had five children, three of whom preceded her in death: Glendal Earl Holder, Bobby Gene Holder and Carolyn Anne Alvarez; and two surviving children, Larry W. Holder and Lauretta (Tim) Huggins.

  After the death of her youngest daughter, Carolyn, she raised two grandchildren, Tiffany Rowell (Holder) and Derek Alvarez as though they were her own.

  She was preceded in death by husbands, Arlin Earl Holder and

Curtis Leon Cole. She was the first born of seven children with one

surviving sister, Christine Finocchio; 18 grandchildren, 55 great‐grandchildren and 13 great-great‐grandchildren.

  Audrey lived in Superior for 40 years, and Bisbee, AZ for 30 years. She was a homemaker most of her life. Loved her church and God. Her favorite scripture: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”

  Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at East Valley Pentecostal Church, 4151 E. Pueblo, Mesa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to cover funeral expenses. An account has bee set up at Bank of the West in Superior, account number 045354776.
