ALEXIS MARCINIAK
SENIOR – POSTON BUTTE HIGH SCHOOL
SPORTS: VOLLEYBALL

You are the leading attacker on the team with 45 kills so far this season. How have you been able to be so effective?

My effectiveness on this team has been a process I’ve been working on since freshman year. Coming to high school and playing on a varsity team gave me the chance to show myself at a young age and I have worked so hard to be where I am today.

How do you believe participating in high school athletics can help you later in life?

I believe it really helps you later in life with responsibility. Getting to practice every day on time and filling your duty on the court really starts to open the door to how adulthood and having a full time job will be like.

What are your plans after graduation?

As of right now, my plan after graduation is to attend Northern Arizona University to get my degree in Dental Hygiene. I am not currently looking at schools to play volleyball at but it’s always a possibility.

Finish this sentence: “My greatest athletic memory so far at PBHS is…”

Making Varsity as a freshman.

What is your favorite sports movie and why?

One of my absolute favorite sports movies is Remember the Titans. I think it so amazing how that team went from such a mess to a real family.
