Artists to form local guild

The Copper Basin art group known as ArtUs is currently in the process of forming a new group to be known as the ArtUs Guild.

An organizational meeting and painting fun (etc) are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 15, at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Ray Hall, beginning at 9 a.m. and is anticipated being in session until 3 p.m.

This process is the direct result of the announcement that the fall semester class will not be offered by Gila Pueblo College, previously associated with ArtUs. It has been cancelled due to the illness of the instructor.

All returning students and any new interested students are urged to attend this meeting. No experience is needed to join the group. Just the love of creativity is all that one needs. All mediums are welcome.

Please bring your ideas to help us maintain this group that has been together for at least 20 years.

Call Sam Hosler at 363-9781 or Vicki Clark at 520-357-3921 with questions.
