Armando (Mando) Ortega Medina, 65, passed away at his home in Oracle on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was born January 9, 1947 to Pablo and Delfina Medina in Washington Camp, Arizona.
On February 8, 1971 he married Dolores Ramos and together they made their home in Mammoth.
Armando was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness who loved talking to others about Jehovah’s promise of a paradise on earth and he believed in the resurrection.He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, cooking and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife Dolores; his son, Armando (Dora) Medina Jr.; daughters, Esperanza (Dwayne) Shepherd, Anita (Gabriel) Gastelum, Rebecca Medina, Alondra Medina and Bertha Medina; six grandchildren, Daniel and Leanna Hernandez, Shania and Dezmarae Shepherd and Kayla and Kaylee Medina;brothers, Pablo (Yolanda) Medina, Bernardo (Gina) Medina, Fernando (Helen) Medina, Ruben (Becky) Medina and Sergio (Vera)Medina; sister, Lupe (Raymond) Leybas; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Delfinita Medina.
His favorite Bible scriptures regarding the resurrection wereJohn 5: 28 & 29 and John 11:25.He was greatly loved by family and friends and will be missed but forever in our hearts.
