Apache Jii (Day) Oct. 20 in Globe

GLOBE, Ariz. – Mark your calendar for the twenty-ninth annual Apache Jii festival on Oct. 20 in downtown Globe. The event draws thousands of visitors from throughout the Southwest and offers visitors and exhibitors alike a chance to interact and talk about the amazing variety of artwork that is available.The Yellow Bird Dancers are a tradition at the Apache Jii celebration

Set in historic downtown, visitors can walk among the booth holders and see the wide array of artwork, jewelry, beadwork and more on display, Several demonstration booths are planned as well. This year, a showing of Native American fashion designs by Selena Curley will be held mid-day.

The all-day event will feature the Yellow Bird Dancers of Mesa, other Native American dance troupes, flute players and more. Tribal royalty will be on hand throughout the day Booths will be open, entertainment is scheduled and food will be served from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Apache Jii is sponsored by the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Golden Eagle Distributors, Apache Gold Casino, APS and the City of Globe. There is no admission fee to enjoy this unique event.
